Have you noticed that we’ve added milkweeds and warm season grasses to the web store? If not, go and take a look!
Do you like big, showy flowers? Our native hibiscus, the swamp rose mallow (Hibiscus moscheutos) really knows how to put on a show with red centered flowers with petals that can range in color from pink to white. H. moscheutos blooms in mid to late summer. Surprisingly, each flower only lasts a single day, but you may not notice because new flowers bloom each day for the duration of the bloom period. While this species usually grows in sunny areas that are moist to wet in the wild, it is perfectly happy in normal garden conditions with a good amount of sun. They’re great if you have a sunnier area that receives water from a downspout! We have these beauties available in both quart pots and 1 gallon pots on our web store.
